Dear Parishioners,

As school begins, let's remember to pray for all the children and their teachers. Children are a beautiful gift from God to us and one of our most important tasks as individuals and as a Parish is to help them fall in love with the God who created them. When we love God, all of religion and all of life make more sense. We need to teach them by our words and our example.

Speaking of children, our new Safe Environment Coordinator is Andrea Korcan-Buzza. She is working out of St. Cecilia. Andrea reminded me to tell you good folks that there is another Protecting God's Children Workshop coming up on Saturday, September 7, at St. Frances Cabrini. This class is required for all parish volunteers. However, it is a great idea for everyone! The more everybody knows what to look for in possible child abuse situations, the safer everyone will be.

DON'T FORGET THE PARISH PICNIC IS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, AT BRADY'S RUN LODGE FROM 2:00-7:00 PM.
