Other grant programs include funding from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs. If you have questions or concerns about the application process, you may speak with a FACTS Customer Care Representative at 1-866-441-4637. Please call your school directly for any other questions or the Department for Catholic Schools at 412-456-3090. The application fee for 2021-2022 is $25. (Applicants may see a higher fee on the FACTS introductory information screens. If so, this can be disregarded.) The application deadline, unless an exception is made for extenuating circumstances, is March 15. Please use the chart below to determine whether your family qualifies for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs. Families exceeding these guidelines, while not excluded from applying for assistance from the Bishop’s Education Fund, are unlikely to demonstrate enough financial need to qualify for a grant. The 2021-22 amounts will be shown when received from the Commonwealth.
